An Introduction To Paul Pryor Travel Bags,
Inc
Paul Pryor was a major league umpire in the national
league from 1961 to 1982. He umpired 3 World Series
and 4 All-Star games. He was recognized as one of
the best in his profession.
During an off season in the 70’s, he designed
a duffle bag for umpire equipment. He then contracted
with a small manufacturing company in the Tampa
Bay area to make these high quality bags.
From there he started his own company and expanded
to include Baseball and Football equipment bags,
a special line of women’s carry on bags and
more.
In 1984 Bob Milleman joined Paul and shortly thereafter
led a design program to include many more athletic
equipment bags and corporate travel bags. They added
a line of sportswear to the ever increasing number
of products and began a new screen printing department
to personalize the bags as well as the sportswear.
Bob purchased the company from Paul in 1992 and
they continued to work together until Paul’s
death in 1995. Bob continues as President and majority
stockholder.
Today the company enjoys the reputation as one of
the leading producers of travel bags and outerwear
for professional, collegiate and amateur athletics.
The corporate and institutional lines continue to
grow as well.
The products are custom made in Florida and shipped
to customers all over the USA and beyond. We continue
to stress quality and service in every bag we make.
